Toasting in a worn down attic in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge, Thorben Seierø Jensen, Sune Sølund and three others clamored out a half-drunk, part dim, part sparkly melodrama titled <i>421 Wythe Avenue</i>. Following their liquor-flavored Denmark-born debut <i>Misery Loves Company</i>,<i>421</i> is a wiry 11-song pickle that jumps around from little-kid subjects ("Theme From Soft Ice Cream Products") to big-kid thoughts ("Escapism"). The music, a compendium carved from male/female vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars and shallowly layered synths, stays consistently temperate. Perfect for sunny mornings, coffee, beers in the park, flowers, dogs, cats, romance, but listen carefully to the lyrics before sharing with children. Filmed in Germany, the video for "Nut In Your Eye" wanders through everyday scenes in a particularly poetic way.
