The name Coolooloosh is not exactly "phonetically friendly." It does roll off the tongue in an elegant sort of way yet manages to conjure up images of some sort of explosion involving a Google search tab. Like the music itself, which combines jazz, funk, hip-hop and Middle Eastern influences, the word "Coolooloosh", an indigenous bit of Jerusalemite slang is a sound one makes when expressing joy.
Watch Coolooloosh's Jerusalem hometown show, part of the final leg in their Israeli tour promoting the David Ivory (The Roots, Erykah Badu) produced album- "Elements Of Sound." A good reminder that Coolooloosh haven't forgotten their home.
